Job Description

Are you a strong leader with a passion for driving results, building high-performing teams, and strengthening cash flow? Do you enjoy working with complex accounts, insurance partners, and corporate clients while improving financial processes at scale? If that sounds like you, our Accounts Receivable Manager role could be your next great opportunity. In this role, you will oversee national receivables and collections across a large, public, Canada-wide restoration organization, helping ensure payments are received accurately, on time, and in alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements.

This is a hybrid role, Monday to Friday, with three days per week in the office. This is a new position created to support a current vacancy. The salary range is $70,000 to $80,000, based on experience, and includes benefits, an EAP, and an RRSP matching program.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER

As an Accounts Receivable Manager, you play a key role in overseeing national receivables and collections across insurance, corporate, and customer accounts. You lead a regional collections team and a centralized cash application function, ensuring timely collections, accurate payment application, and consistent follow-up. Each day, you work directly with insurance carriers, third party adjusters, and corporate clients to resolve payment delays, disputes, and underpayments while monitoring aging and reducing days sales outstanding. You analyze trends, identify risks and process gaps, collaborate with internal teams to improve outcomes, and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements that support healthy cash flow across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 7+ years of accounts receivable or collections experience, ideally within restoration, construction, or insurance-driven services
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing teams
  • Experience managing large corporate or national accounts
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable systems and ERP platforms, including insurance carrier, third-party adjuster, and corporate client portals
  • Advanced Excel or spreadsheet skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support process improvements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to resolve complex issues professionally
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and sound judgment in fast-paced, high-volume environments
