<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Key Responsibility Areas</strong></p><p><strong>Equipment Diagnostics, Repairs and Optimization</strong></p><p>· Perform all the duties of a Service Technician including:</p><p>o removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components</p><p>o complex and difficult diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment</p><p>o may specialize on all types of equipment</p><p>· Perform a mix of shop and/or road (in the field) work, as required; which, includes Precision Ag repairs</p><p>· Perform any and all service tasks as assigned</p><p>· May perform machine start ups</p><p>· May perform machine optimizations</p><p>· May assist or support in customer clinics</p><p>· Assists other technicians with diagnostics</p><p>· Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment in good working order</p><p><strong><span >Administrative/Reporting/Goals</span></strong></p><p>· Works toward attaining and maintaining appropriate efficiency, productivity and labour performance for personal ratings as well as to assist with team/department goals</p><p>· Maintains a minimum 80% or higher, labour performance rating, on a consistent basis</p><p>· Must be at over 80% labour performance on a longer-term basis</p><p>· Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments</p><p>· Manages workorder process from start to T complete</p><p>· Account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties</p><p>· Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments</p><p><strong>Organization / Department / Team Support</strong></p><p>· Maintain a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion</p><p>· Work to build and maintain constructive co-worker relations, and effective and productive team dynamics</p><p>· Ensure all safety regulations and requirements are followed by self and others</p><p><strong>Personal Development</strong></p><p>· Participate in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge</p><p>· Participate in any specified training, as offered in the workplace</p><p>· Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products</p><p>· Maintain up-to-date and current product knowledge of related lines</p><p>· Maintain required technical and behavioural skills</p><p><strong>Critical Capabilities</strong></p><p>· Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures</p><p>· Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes</p><p>· Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. repeatedly; ability to lift between 40-75lbs as needed</p><p>· Ability to work flexible hours, varying shifts, weekends and holidays, if necessary</p><p>· Ability to self-manage</p><p>· Having and maintaining a valid driver’s license required</p><p><strong>Desired Experience and Qualifications</strong></p><p>· Certified Journeyperson or equivalent</p><p>· 4+ years of experience performing service repairs</p><p>· Knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrains, air-conditioning, mechanical and electrical systems, used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment; And as they apply to machines marketed by the dealership</p><p>· Ability to read, write, and speak effectively with customers and/or other employees</p><p>· High School Diploma or equivalent experience required</p><p>· Forklift license preferred</p><p>· Willingness to learn and work hard</p></p></p>
