We provide high-end landscape design, arborist and construction services to residential, municipal and commercial clients as well as grounds maintenance services.</p><p><br /></p><p>Were looking for someone who is creative, self-motivated, organized and excellent attention to detail to join our local business that is growing quickly.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>50 - 75 % travel away from home required,</li><li>Operate self - propelled equipment including a stump grinder and chipper truck.</li><li>Use small equipment such as chainsaws, brush saws, drills in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li>Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure it is in proper working order and meets operational and safety standards.</li><li>Control lowering ropes.</li><li>Provide tools to tree workers working at heights.</li><li>Control road and sidewalk traffic as needed by use of warning devices.</li><li>Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance inspections on equipment.</li><li>Cut, chip and load brush and wood.</li><li>Complete proper job site cleanup.</li><li>Assist other crew members in performing job duties.</li><li>Perform arboricultural work including vegetation pruning and removals.</li><li>Use and share knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and code, follow safety guidelines, identify potential hazardous situations and adapt appropriately.<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Mature, reliable, physically fit, hands on and able to perform field work at a high standard<br /></li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain written time records, and work order documents<br /></li><li>Ability to multi-task and focus on priorities<br /></li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude would be an asset<br /></li><li>Must follow the company's HSE program and complete all documentation required</li><li>Valid drivers license (with clean drivers abstract)</li><li>Over the age of 25 years old (for fleet insurance purposes)</li><li>Experience operating trucks and trailers</li><li>Ability to operate equipment such as a mini hoe/ skid steer is an asset<br /></li><li>Be comfortable working in residential and city environments<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>CSTS 2020 (required)<br /></li><li>ISA certification as asset but not required</li><li>Standard First Aid is an asset<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
