<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>As a production cook you will prepare and cook a variety of food items, including baked goods and dishes, ensuring quality, cleanliness, and adherence to recipes and food safety standards, while working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.<br><br>Available to work early morning shift. <br><br><strong>Here's a more detailed breakdown of the responsibilities and requirements:</strong></p><p><br /><strong>RESPONSIBILITY:<br />Food Preparation:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist the chef the partie in preparing, cooking and presenting food as request. </li><li>Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, and mixing according to recipes.</li><li>Production of a variety of dishes, including main courses, appetizers, desserts, and baked goods.</li><li>Ensure dishes meet the establishment's standards for taste and quality.</li><li>Prepare and fill pans, molds, or baking sheets.</li><li>Adhere to food hygiene and safety standards at all times.</li><li>Collaborate with other sections to ensure smooth kitchen operations during all the time.</li><li>assist in receiving and storing deliveries correctly and efficiently. </li><li>uphold cleanliness and organization in your section and overall Kitchen. </li></ul><p><br /><strong>Baking:</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare bread, focaccia, pizza, rolls, muffins, pie, pastries, cakes, and cookies.</li><li>Store them properly ready to be finalized from line cooks during catering operation time.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Kitchen Operations:</strong></p><ul><li>Production of standardized recipes (bulk).</li><li>Storing the food produced properly by following proper Freezeng istructions. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized workstation.</li><li>Follow food safety and hygiene standards.</li><li>Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations.</li><li>Plate prepared foods based on the senior chef's guidance.</li><li>Wash and clean the kitchen and cooking utensils.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Other Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Work with kitchen staff & hot table staff to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.</li><li>Follow instructions from the Head Chef or other kitchen staff.</li><li>Assist with other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:</strong></p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery is preferred.</li><li>Experience in Italian Cuisine is a assignment. </li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in basic cooking techniques (e.g., grilling, frying, sautéing).</li><li>Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.</li><li>Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Ability to work as part of a team.</li><li>Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.</li><li>Strong team player with a good communication skills</li><li>Flexibility to work shift, including evening, weekends, and holidays.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Certifications: </strong></p><ul><li>Food safety certification is a plus.</li></ul></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
