You will be responsible for overseeing and managing various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. We are looking for a sharp, ambitious individual who is passionate about accounting and thrives in a results-oriented culture.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br /><ul><li>Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations.</li><li>Prepare and analyze financial statements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, ASPE).</li><li>Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.</li><li>Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.</li><li>Perform complex reconciliations and financial analysis.</li><li>Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.</li><li>Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements.</li><li>Provide financial guidance and support to operational teams.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br /><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Accounting or Finance.</li><li>CPA designation is highly preferred, or actively being pursued.</li><li>Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.</li><li>Strong public accounting firm background is highly desirable </li><li>Experience in the property management industry is an asset.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in a variety of accounting standards.</li><li>Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.</li><li>Experience with relevant accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) is an asset.</li><li>Ability to thrive in a results-driven culture.</li><li>Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.</li></ul></p></p>
