This position is with a global IT services firm for a leading investment/wealth management services firm.

Client Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario, close to TTC and GO service.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - In Office 4 days per week.
Contract Duration: 6 months, with possible renewal.

Responsibilities:

• Manage timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project completion


• Design software solutions by collaborating with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff, and peers to understand requirements


• Develop solutions aligned with client’s technology preferences, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and enabling new trading activities


• Provide knowledge transfer through demos, walkthroughs, and documentation

Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment covering the full development lifecycle


• Strong skills in Java and Python development, including analysis, coding, and design


• Data engineering skills, including database design, data modeling, and data governance principles


• Proficiency with AWS


• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to manage client expectations

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of Capital Markets domain, ideally understanding securities and derivatives trading
