<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and treasury management functions within a growing, dynamic organization. This role will serve as a key business partner to the senior leadership team, delivering insights and guidance to drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Strategic Planning & Forecasting</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, long-range planning, and rolling forecasts.</p></li><li><p>Partner with operational departments to ensure financial plans align with business goals and regulatory requirements.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Financial Analysis & Reporting</strong></p><ul><li><p>Provide in-depth analysis of financial performance across all business units.</p></li><li><p>Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and presentations for executive leadership.</p></li><li><p>Identify financial risks, opportunities, and trends to support strategic decision-making.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Cost & Margin Analysis</strong></p><ul><li><p>Oversee product costing, margin performance, and inventory valuation.</p></li><li><p>Implement initiatives to reduce costs and improve operational KPIs including waste, yield, and throughput.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Cross-Functional Business Support</strong></p><ul><li><p>Act as a financial partner to teams across operations, procurement, R&D, and commercial functions.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate capital investment opportunities, performing ROI and risk assessments.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Process & Systems Improvement</strong></p><ul><li><p>Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, dashboards, and reporting tools.</p></li><li><p>Ensure strong internal controls and alignment with financial policies and regulatory requirements.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Treasury & Cash Flow Management</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning to support operational needs.</p></li><li><p>Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, and short-term investment strategies.</p></li><li><p>Optimize working capital and ensure compliance with treasury policies.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.</p></li><li><p>CPA, CMA, MBA, or CFA designation is considered an asset.</p></li><li><p>8–12 years of progressive FP&A experience, with 5+ years in a leadership capacity.</p></li><li><p>Previous experience in a manufacturing or production-based environment is strongly preferred.</p></li><li><p>Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced financial modeling tools.</p></li><li><p>Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of treasury operations, banking, and financial risk management.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Attributes</strong></p><ul><li><p>Agile leader with a balance of strategic vision and operational execution.</p></li><li><p>Comfortable managing multiple projects in a high-growth, regulated environment.</p></li><li><p>Experience with lean manufacturing, cost accounting, or Six Sigma methodologies.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with public company reporting standards and international banking practices.</p></li></ul></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
