Known for delivering high-quality and complex projects on schedule and within budget, the company is expanding its pre-construction team with a skilled Estimator who can support upcoming bids and long-term growth.<br /></p>The Opportunity:<br /><p><br /></p><p>As a Civil Construction Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for civil projects ranging from municipal infrastructure upgrades to major transit-related works. Projects typically range in value from $1 million to $100 million+, giving you the opportunity to work on some of the region’s most challenging and high-profile infrastructure developments.<br /></p>Key Responsibilities:<br /><p><br /></p><p>- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects in underground utilities, road construction, bridge works, and large excavations<br /></p><p>- Analyze drawings, specifications, and addendums to determine project scope and requirements<br /></p><p>- Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare unit pricing, and review subcontractor and supplier quotes<br /></p><p>- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients during the bidding process<br /></p><p>- Prepare tender submissions and ensure compliance with municipal and transit authority standards<br /></p><p>- Monitor industry pricing, market conditions, and material/labour cost trends<br /></p><p>- Support project teams during post-bid negotiations and project award transitions<br /></p><p>- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders<br /></p>Qualifications:<br /><p><br /></p><p>- 5+ years of estimating experience in civil construction (preferably with underground utilities, roadworks, bridge construction, or transit-related infrastructure)<br /></p><p>- Strong knowledge of municipal construction standards, MTO contracts, and transit authority specifications<br /></p><p>- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred<br /></p><p>- Proficient in estimating software (HCSS, HeavyBid, Bid2Win, or similar) and MS Office Suite<br /></p><p>- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills<br /></p><p>- Strong communication and negotiation abilities<br /></p><p>- P.Eng., CET, or PQS designation considered an asset<br /></p>What’s in it for you:<br /><p><br /></p><p>- Competitive base salary with annual performance bonus<br /></p><p>- Comprehensive health, dental, and retirement benefits<br /></p><p>- Opportunity to work on high-profile municipal and transit infrastructure projects in the GTA<br /></p><p>- Projects ranging in size from $1M to $100M+<br /></p><p>- Professional development and career advancement opportunities<br /></p><p>- Supportive and collaborative team culture<br /></p>Apply Now:<br /><p><br /></p><p>If you are a detail-oriented Civil Estimator with expertise in municipal and transit-related infrastructure projects, we want to hear from you.
