<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>Menno Home is a 40-bed long term care facility that is situated in the town of Grunthal, MB just 40 minutes South of Winnipeg, and 20 minutes outside of Steinbach, MB.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Menno Home is currently recruiting for a physician or physicians to be responsible for the overall coordination and evaluation of medical services for the Personal Care Home. The Designated Physician(s) will be responsible for medical services which include but is not limited to:<br><br><ul><li>Supervision of each resident’s medical care</li><li>Examination of each resident as often as the resident’s condition requires</li><li>Working collaboratively with the nursing staff and ensuring nursing staff have access to an on-call physician 24 hours per day, seven days per week to provide after hours care and consultation as necessary</li><li>Following established rules and/or policies governing medical services as outlined in the Physician Services in Personal Care Homes Document<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must be eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba</li><li>Must hold or be eligible for membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association</li><li>Must provide criminal record check and adult abuse check</li><li>Demonstrated ability to meet the demands of the job</li><li>Language: English</li><li>Menno Home is a faith-based home, incumbent must be willing to respect the home’s mission, vision, values of those that reside within the home<br><br></li></ul><strong>Compensation<br><br></strong>Remuneration is derived from an Independent Contract practice as per Doctors Manitoba Agreement.
