<p>Overview</p><p><strong>Grades Person</strong></p><p><strong>Sureway</strong> <strong>Construction</strong> is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years’ experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.</p><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time, seasonal</p><p><strong>Schedule: </strong>10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 40hr/week</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Penticton</p><p><strong>Pay Range</strong>: $25-$30 per hour depending on experience</p><p><strong>Essential: </strong>Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong> </p><ul><li>Personal Reliable Vehicle</li><li>CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support</li></ul><p><strong>Pre-employment:</strong></p><ul><li>Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)</li><li>Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation</li></ul><p><strong>Grades Person Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Check the grade of roadways and construction sites using manual and laser methods.</li><li>Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.</li><li>This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position.</li></ul><p><strong>Grades Person</strong> <strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum one (1) year experience as a grade person.</li><li>Exceptional math skills.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills required.</li><li>Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.</li><li>Must have proven ability to work in tight spots.</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills required.</li><li>Must be a team player.</li></ul><p><strong>Sureway Construction Group</strong> is an equal opportunity employer.
