This full-time position is crucial to our operations, responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of our fleet of heavy equipment and trucks. The ideal candidate is a skilled professional with strong diagnostic abilities and a commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of our vehicles.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Perform skilled diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems.</p></li><li><p>Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and service to ensure all equipment operates at peak performance and in compliance with safety standards.</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using both manual and computer-based diagnostic tools.</p></li><li><p>Execute repairs, parts replacement, and rebuilds as necessary.</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and inspections completed.</p></li><li><p>Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and provincial regulations.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate effectively with the transport and operations teams to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion of projects.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyperson certification in Alberta (or a Red Seal Endorsement)</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience (e.g., 3-5+ years) as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in a professional setting.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and tools.</p></li><li><p>Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.</p></li><li><p>Possession of a valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 is a plus).</p></li><li><p>Ability to lift heavy components and perform physically demanding tasks.</p></li></ul></p>Company Description<p>CDI International is a family-owned and operated heavy equipment transport and warehousing company based in High River, Alberta, Canada.
