<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Director of Admissions plays a critical role in promoting and maintaining a strong student enrollment base for a private secondary school in Ontario. This role requires both strategic planning and proactive outreach — engaging directly with families, educational agents, and marketing initiatives worldwide to promote the school and meet enrollment targets. Occasional overseas travelling would be required.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p><u>Proactive Outreach & Relationship Building</u></p><ul><li>Actively identify and reach out to prospective students and families through personalized communication, digital channels, and direct engagement.</li><li>Proactively build and maintain partnerships with education agents, consultants, and feeder schools globally to broaden the school's reach and visibility.</li><li>Initiate and participate in international student recruitment campaigns and marketing events, both virtual and in-person, to directly increase the school’s student population.</li><li>Plan, organize, and oversee admissions events, including open houses, information sessions, and campus tours, to showcase the school's facilities, programs, and community</li><li>Liaise with faculty, staff, and students to involve them in the admissions process and ensure their participation in recruitment events and initiatives</li><li>To commit the annual admission target and secure the retention of new applications</li></ul><p><u> </u></p><p><u>Recruitment Strategy</u></p><ul><li>Design and execute a comprehensive admissions strategy aligned with the school’s enrollment objectives.</li><li>Analyze enrollment trends and data to forecast, plan, and drive results.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u>Admissions Management</u></p><ul><li>Develop and implement comprehensive admissions policies and procedures in line with the school's mission and enrollment goals</li><li>Manage the entire admissions process, including application review, interviews, and decisions, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for prospective students and their families</li><li>Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to assess applicants' qualifications and fit with the school's academic, extracurricular, and community values</li><li>Maintain accurate records of applicant data and statistics to track enrollment trends and inform strategic decision-making</li></ul><p><u>Marketing & Promotion</u></p><ul><li>Collaborate with the marketing team to produce compelling recruitment content, including videos, brochures, and social media campaigns.</li><li>Highlight the school's academic programs, extracurricular offerings, and university outcomes to attract high-quality applicants.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u>Team Leadership & Reporting</u></p><ul><li>Lead and mentor the admissions staff, ensuring a high-performing, customer-service-oriented team.</li><li>Provide regular reporting to school leadership on enrollment trends, pipeline status, and recruitment performance.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Requirements</strong></p><p><br></p><p><em><u>Academic & Experience Requirements</u></em></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Marketing, Business Administration)</li><li>Ten years of experience in admissions and recruitment in education sector, preferably in a secondary school or higher education setting</li></ul><p><em><u>Knowledge & Competency Requirements</u></em></p><ul><li>Prior experience in international high school admissions is a mandatory requirement</li><li>Strong sense of business acumen</li><li>Strong knowledge of the Ontario education system and admissions requirements</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders</li><li>Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail</li><li>Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret enrollment data</li><li>Proficiency in using admissions management systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms is an asset</li><li>Occasional overseas business trips are required</li></ul><p><em><u>Desirable Requirements</u></em></p><ul><li>University guidance counselling knowledge</li><li>Knowledge in IB curriculum and A-Level</li></ul>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
