Home Renovation Expert
Location: Saskatoon, SK
Reporting to: Manager

The Opportunity

As a Home Renovation Expert, you are the multitool on the jobsite - framing, finishing, plumbing basics and the ability to tile like a pro. Guiding projects from start to finish, you won’t be buried in paperwork, stuck at a desk all day. You will be doing the work you love, working on the tools and making sure each job meets the high standards the company is known for. You will work mostly solo on-site, with helpers that will support you with larger projects, but you will manage the site and solve challenges as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

As the Home Renovation Expert, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:

• Lead all aspects of on-site construction for kitchen, bathroom, and general home renovations, ensuring projects are delivered to high quality standards.
• Interpret and execute blueprints, design plans, and specifications with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Perform a wide range of skilled carpentry tasks, including framing, cabinetry installation, trim work, flooring, drywall, mudding and taping, plumbing fixture installation, tiling, finishing carpentry, and painting.
• Oversee daily activities on the jobsite, working collaboratively with subcontractors and team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Monitor project timelines, provide progress updates, and communicate effectively with clients and project coordinators.
• Proactively identify and resolve on-site challenges with professionalism and a focus on quality outcomes.

Qualifications

As the Home Renovation Expert, you will bring:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential renovations, with a focus on kitchen and bathroom projects preferred.
• Red Seal Carpenter designation is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to lead on-site work, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Proficient in a broad range of carpentry skills, including framing, drywall, cabinetry, flooring, tile, trim, and finishing work.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and design specifications.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Own set of hand tools however they will provide major tools and equipment.
