In this role, you will serve as a lead on small projects, coordinate with apprentices and fellow tradespeople, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a Red Seal-certified professional who enjoys leading projects, mentoring apprentices, and working on a wide range of plumbing and mechanical tasks.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>ADVANTAGES:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive compensation starting at $50.20 to 51.58/hr </li><li>Straight 8-hour day shift </li><li>Overtime after 40 hours and available </li><li>Direct hire opportunity </li><li>Great benefits: RRSP matching, paid sick days, medical, and dental</li><li>Travel within 1 hour from your home</li><li>Great work environment that values safety, teamwork, and quality</li><li>Exposure to diverse projects and long-term career stability</li><li>Opportunities for advancement and ongoing professional development</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Lead and coordinate small plumbing projects, ensuring compliance with safety policies, building codes, and industry standards.</li><li>Supervise, mentor, and develop apprentices and fellow journeypersons.</li><li>Perform plumbing and mechanical tasks, including pipe fitting, cutting, coring, trenching, layout, and installation.</li><li>Conduct site investigations and assist in preparing estimates.</li><li>Complete all administrative and project documentation accurately and on time.</li><li>Conduct site investigation and support in the creation of an estimate</li><li>Support the On-Call Program as required.</li><li>Maintain positive working relationships with clients, trades, and internal teams.</li><li>Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements and departmental growth.</li><li>Ensure all projects are executed safely and efficiently, proactively addressing risks or issues.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of plumbing experience or related construction work</li><li>Licensed Journeyman Plumber / Red Seal certification</li><li>G1/ G2 Certifcation</li><li>Proven ability to lead projects and a small crew</li><li>Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract</li><li>Strong knowledge of building systems, plumbing codes, safety regulations, and building systems</li><li>Experience and knowledge with Steam piping, chilled water, chiller replacements, sanitary compressed air, unit and boiler retros</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Completion of supervisory or project management training is an asset (2IC, <span >Scheduling/Communication/Planning,</span> ISO/Quality Training)</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p></p><p><strong>#INDSTRIVEON</strong></p><p><strong>#LI-SR</strong></p><p><br /></p></p></p>
