Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML&#39;s expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.<br><br>Job Responsibilities:<br><br>RESPONSIBILITIES<br><br>Co-ordinates the activities of the warehouse, including Shipper/Receivers and Material Handlers within the team to ensure efficient and effective shipments and part supply<br><br>Performs Shipping/Receiving functions<br><br>Ensures equipment is in working order and safety rules are followed<br><br>Follow-up on customer and supplier expedites<br><br>Provide good communication to ensure effective workflow<br><br>Reports daily tasks and updates data sheets<br><br>Directs the training of new employees within the team<br><br>Reports part shortages and ensures timely follow-up with Supervisors<br><br>Provides input in the performance review process<br><br>Ensure employees do prestart inspections and co-sign checklist to verify completion<br><br>Participates actively in department/ company improvement activities (i.e. Business centres/white boards)<br><br>Responsible for controlling all paper work, Bill of Lading, packing slips, bar code labels, and advanced shipping notices, (faxed or edi - electronic data interchange)<br><br>Responsible for following up on critical components as indicated by materials department<br><br>Follows and directs team to adhere to department/company procedures<br><br>Submit continuous improvement suggestions through Employee Involvement Program and encourage/assists employees to do the same<br><br>Ensures 5s initiatives gets carried out daily<br><br>Reviews and communicates all warehouse key indicators. Takes the initiative to drive opportunities and propose recommendations<br><br>Must be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it effects quality and the environment for our customers<br><br>Overtime as required to support the warehouse<br><br>HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES<br><br>1. Follows the duties and responsibilities specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act Sec. 28 - duties of a worker<br><br>2. Ensures all safety rules and regulations are followed<br><br>3. Ensures adherence to established safety, quality and housekeeping standards and participates in the continuous improvement process<br><br>4. Adheres to all health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, policies and procedures<br><br>5. Follows compliance obligations<br><br>6. Reports any known near miss, environmental impact, hazard, defect, incident or compliance issue to the employer or supervisor<br><br>7. Assists in near miss, hazard and incident investigations and provides input on corrective actions<br><br>8. Understands Bill 168 and upholds the policies that prohibit domestic violence, workplace violence and harassment in the workplace<br><br>9. Attends Environmental Health and Safety training<br><br>10.
