The Opportunity


Ensure operation of mechanical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on conveyors, machinery, with use of manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, etc.


What You’ll Do



  • Ensure operation of mechanical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on conveyors, machinery, with the use of manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, etc.

  • Install new machines and equipment

  • Required to utilize documentation in CMMS

  • Repair and replace as necessary, pumps, valves, motors, etc.

  • Focus on minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance and good troubleshooting techniques

  • Inform production workers of routine mechanical preventive maintenance plans

  • Prepare maintenance reports and make recommendations as necessary for improvements

  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops

  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices and use of personal protective equipment.

  • Maintain documentation as required by Atlantic Packaging

  • Perform quality checks on all work performed

  • Contribute team effort by accomplishing related results and other సంధ duties as assigned


What You Bring



  • Must have a valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License - 433A

  • Red Seal Journeyman certification

  • Must be able to read mechanical drawings

  • Minimum 2–3-year previous experience in a manufacturing industry

  • Strong Troubleshooting skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all employees

  • Exposure with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls and welding/cutting

  • All position welding preferred (stainless steel pipe, guard repairs, etc.)
