As a Long-Term Occasional Teacher (LTO) for DDSB, you’ll create a vibrant and supportive learning environment where students thrive. You’ll bring your passion for teaching to the classroom, guiding students through their educational journey and fostering a love for learning.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and support student learning.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help students grow.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to enhance student learning.

  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.


Qualifications And Additional Information



  • Required subject qualifications: Intermediate Math

  • FTE: 1.0 for semester 2

  • Grade(s)/assignment: 10

  • Tentative course codes (if known): MFM 2P and MPM 2D

  • Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing

  • Secondary LTO Salary Range: $57,986 to $119,967/year (Placement on salary grid is based on QECO rating and teaching experience. Salary will be pro‑rated based on the position FTE).

Additional Requirements



  • Provide a current Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
