<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><b>Position: Full Time Maintenance Manager </b><br /><b>Location: Shannon Falls Retirement Centre, Squamish, BC</b><br /><b>Salary: $28 - $35/hr</b><br><br><b>Join Our Team as a Maintenance Manager!</b><br />Are you a caring individual passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors? If so, we invite you to join our team at Shannon Falls Retirement Centre!<br><br><b>Position Overview:</b> Under the direction of the General Manager, the Maintenance Manager will oversee the overall management of our buildings and grounds. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe, operable, and welcoming environment for our residents, guests and staff.<br><br><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><ul><li>Implement, maintain, and improve the preventative maintenance program, ensuring all required checks are executed, logged, and documented promptly.</li><li>Maintain the building, including all electrical and mechanical equipment and fixtures, in a safe and operable condition.</li><li>Oversee the building envelope and grounds, including the site waste management program.</li><li>Manage and execute work orders, preventative maintenance, and asset/equipment history using the Maintenance Care computer program.</li><li>Paint vacant suites and touch up common areas.</li><li>Prioritize items needing attention and repair.</li><li>Obtain written quotes for services from local trades, suppliers, and contractors.</li><li>Work effectively with all trades, subcontractors, and vendors.</li><li>Perform routine, scheduled, and emergency building maintenance.</li><li>Support the fire safety program for the home.</li><li>Ensure sidewalks, patios, and all exit areas are clear of ice and snow during winter; shovel, sand, and salt as required.</li><li>Administer the maintenance and repair sections of the quality assurance program. Support and participate in quality initiatives by providing input and suggestions for improvement, reporting feedback to the General Manager.</li><li>Be available to work Monday to Friday and on-call evenings and weekends as required for emergencies.</li></ul><b>Must-Haves:</b><ul><li>Journeyman or similar level of certification in a trade appropriate for building maintenance, or relevant training and experience.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of management experience.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret building drawings and codes is preferred.</li><li>Computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office and building management software.</li><li>Effective verbal and written English communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.</li><li>Successful completion of the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.</li><li>WHMIS training and Occupational Health and Safety Certifications are assets.</li></ul>We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.<p>Powered by JazzHR</p><p>SMR9CnMXuw</p></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
