<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Precision Well Servicing is the largest service rig provider in Canada, with an impressive fleet of equipment, service rig professionals and strong relationships with top-tier companies. Precision is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team.</p><p>The <strong>Payroll Manager </strong>will be responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day activities for the Payroll team ensuring the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll. Depending on experience and qualifications, candidates may be considered for a Payroll Manager position.</p><p>Please note this is a Full-Time In-Office position and only candidates who can reliably commute to our Red Deer office will be considered.</p><p><strong>Primary Duties & Responsibilities:</strong></p><p> Review and sign off on all bi-weekly salary and hourly payrolls</p><p> Perform checks on HR/Payroll systems to ensure compliance with legislation and company policy</p><p> Oversee administration of all company Benefits Programs and Retirement Savings Plans, including employee changes, billings, reconciliations and reporting</p><p> Verify amounts for third party payments</p><p> Gather and provide required documentation for payroll audits</p><p> Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for various departments and outside agencies</p><p> Set performance goals and conduct performance assessments for direct reports</p><p> Provide training and development for direct reports</p><p> Assist with reviewing, updating, and developing processes and procedures for the payroll team</p><p> Lead year-end processing, including manual adjustments and T4 preparation</p><p> Assist with filing WCB year-end reports</p><p> Ensure that excellent customer service is being met regarding the Payroll Help Line and other related areas</p><p> Ability to work on weekends or general holidays when required</p><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p><p> Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certificate with NPI is required</p><p> Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) Designation Preferred</p><p> 3-5 years of payroll experience in a manager capacity</p><p> Dayforce experience is required</p><p> Experience with large volume payroll processing in a multi-province environment</p><p> Extensive knowledge of federal and provincial tax and labour regulations</p><p><strong>Skills & Knowledge:</strong></p><p> Ability to promote a positive, cohesive team environment</p><p> Strong Microsoft office skills, with intermediate knowledge of excel</p><p> Exceptional prioritization & organizational skills in a fast paced, changing environment</p><p> Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality</p><p> Proven ability to meet deadlines</p><p><br />We thank all candidates for their interest in Precision Well Servicing, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
