<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><b>POSITION TITLE:</b> Physiotherapist<p><b>PROGRAM:</b> Long-Term Care ADP Services</p><p><b>LOCATION:</b> Port Dover, ON</p><p><b>STATUS:</b> Contractor</p><p><b>HOURS: </b>8 hours per week</p><p><b>REMUNERATION:</b> Competitive</p><p><b>This position is only open to those legally entitled to work in Canada.</b></p>Summary<hr /><p>We require a skilled Physiotherapist to provide rehabilitation services to Residents in select Long-Term Care Homes.</p><p>You will be responsible for providing assessments, recommendations, and equipment prescription for Residents who have been referred for an ADP Assessment. You will also serve as a resource and educator to the Home’s staff and Residents/Families regarding equipment recommendations. </p><p>You can look forward to our competitive compensation package, which reflects how we value your background, experience, education, and commitment to clinical excellence.</p>Key Responsibilities<hr /><ul><li>Provide assessments and access funding under the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) to meet equipment needs, in compliance with all ADP required activities and documentation, as well as funding guidelines</li><li>Implement, monitor, and modify equipment to achieve Resident/Family goals in the areas of seating and positioning, equipment use and safety, and strategies to improve function</li><li>Provide in-house staff education sessions on topics such as adaptive equipment and ergonomic set-up for staff injury prevention, as required</li></ul>Qualifications<hr /><ul><li>Registrant in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario or College of Physiotherapists of Ontario</li><li>Certified Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Authorizer</li><li>Completion of satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) upon hire</li><li>Up-to-date on required vaccinations, including influenza vaccine (or commitment to take anti-viral medications in case of an outbreak), MMR, DTaP, varicella, and TB skin test</li><li><span >Knowledge/experience</span> in evidence-based musculoskeletal and neurological practice, with a strong emphasis on functional outcomes</li><li>Superior communication and clinical reasoning skills</li><li>Caring and compassionate in all interactions with Residents and Families</li></ul><p>Desirable skills and experience include previous delivery of Physiotherapy Services for the geriatric population in an integrated care setting, preferably in a Long-Term Care Home.
