Project Manager – ICI Ground-Up Construction (Ottawa)
Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 base + bonus + benefits
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
An established ICI contractor is seeking a Project Manager with strong ground-up and institutional experience to lead new build projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will oversee contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, subtrade coordination, and overall project delivery.
Responsibilities
Manage full project lifecycle for ground-up ICI and institutional additions
Lead tendering, subcontractor award, budgeting, and cost control
Develop and maintain project schedules, forecasts, and progress reports
Coordinate structural, civil, envelope, mechanical, and electrical scopes
Oversee RFIs, change orders, shop drawings, and all project documentation
Lead progress meetings with clients, consultants, and site teams
Ensure project delivery meets contractual, safety, and quality requirements
Support the Superintendent and site team through technical and operational challenges
Qualifications
5–10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in ICI new build construction
Proven track record delivering institutional, commercial, or municipal projects
Strong understanding of contract frameworks, budgeting, and scheduling
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain organized project workflows
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Engineering or construction management background is an asset
