<p>We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a Data Centre Migration project involving bare metal (physical server) lift-and-shift activities across critical infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical project management expertise combined with a deep understanding of data centre operations and physical server infrastructure. This is a high-impact role within a fast-paced financial services organization undergoing major transformation of its core infrastructure platforms.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Lead the planning and execution of large-scale Data Centre Migration projects including bare metal lift-and-shift activities.</li><li>Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, application, and facilities teams to develop detailed migration plans and schedules.</li><li>Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including scoping, risk assessment, budgeting, resource management, change management, and reporting.</li><li>Oversee physical move logistics (racking, cabling, decommissioning, validation) with a clear focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining business continuity.</li><li>Coordinate with third-party vendors, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to execute moves efficiently and securely.</li><li>Track and report project status, risks, and issues to leadership and business stakeholders on a regular basis.</li><li>Ensure compliance with enterprise security, regulatory, and data governance standards during all migration activities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Must-Have Qualifications:</p><ul><li>7+ years of project management experience, with 3+ years in Data Centre Migration / Lift-and-Shift projects (bare metal/physical servers).</li><li>Strong understanding of infrastructure components: servers, storage, network, power/cooling, and cabling.</li><li>Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-risk, high-visibility initiatives.</li><li>Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.</li><li>Proficiency in PM tools like MS Project, JIRA, or similar.</li><li>PMP or equivalent certification preferred.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Nice-to-Have Skills:</p><ul><li>Financial services industry experience.</li><li>Experience with data centre consolidations, cloud migration prep, or disaster recovery planning.</li><li>ITIL or other service management framework knowledge.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Work Environment:</p><p>Fast-paced, regulated environment with tight timelines and high availability requirements.</p><p>Potential weekend/off-hours work during migration cutovers.</p><p><br></p><p>We thank all applicants for their interest in this opportunity.
