<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Cube Packaging Solutions is currently seeking a <strong>Quality Control Technician</strong> to join our team in Aurora, Ontario. This role is required to work 12-hour rotating continental shifts. </p><p></p><p><strong>The Quality Technician is responsible for:</strong></p><p>• Following and complying with Cube Management System (CMS)</p><p>• Supporting the Quality Management system</p><p>• Ensuring that all shift staff are trained and understanding the quality standards that are to be met</p><p>• Carrying out product inspection on packing duties </p><p></p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices, SOPs, Hygiene Policy and all QA programs through communication and training with production personnel</p><p>• Support the Food Safety program</p><p>• Conduct quality inspection of parts, processes and systems to ensure all procedures are followed and that parts meet the overall quality standards</p><p>• Performs and monitors quality checks in Production to ensure defects do not occur.</p><p>• Perform inspection on every two hours during the shift and record results on specified inspection sheets or related documents.</p><p>• Required to maintain all measuring equipment in proper working order and appearance.</p><p>• Ensure all incidents of non-conformance are recorded</p><p>• Document inspection results in a clear, accurate, neat and timely manner</p><p>• Assist in identifying and communicating product quality issues to Production Supervisor/Quality Coordinator or designate and complete daily QC report.</p><p>• Carry out inspections of WIP products, identify accordingly in the production area, input inventory into ERP system, and print and apply barcode labels accordingly</p><p>• Identify poor workmanship, material defects and incorrect packing of parts - notify appropriate personnel of manufacturing quality issues</p><p>• Train Production Associates on product quality requirements</p><p>• Required to maintain control of all non-conforming material, segregation, and completion of hold tags.</p><p>• Review and assist with the development of SOPs in accordance with Quality System requirements</p><p>• Support the NCR process and assist where necessary</p><p>• Required to participate in all internal and external audits as needed.</p><p>• Required to maintain good housekeeping (5S) principles surrounding the QA work station.</p><p>• Other duties as assigned or requested </p><p></p><p><strong>Soft Skills</strong></p><p>• Problem solving - the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.</p><p>• Dependability - the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.</p><p>• Safety and security - the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.</p><p></p><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong><span >Education/Experience</span></strong></p><p>•College Diploma related to Quality Assurance and relevant experience in a manufacturing environment </p><p>•AIB or Food Safety Certification an asset</p><p>•Must have ISO or TS experience</p><p>•Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and ability to analyze data</p><p>•Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and procedures</p><p>•Basic knowledge of injection molding products and processes an asset</p><p>•Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required</p><p>•Basic knowledge on ERP systems an asset</p><p></p><p><strong>Other Job Requirements</strong></p><p>•Ability to read, write and understand English</p><p>•Must have own reliable transportation</p><p>•Able to work continental rotating shifts (day and night)</p><p>•Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and stand for long periods of time</p><p>•Must be able to distinguish between colours</p><p>•Ability to handle multiple projects of competing priority and work effectively in a fast-paced environment</p><p>•Must have strong attention to detail.</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Extended dental, health and vision coverage</li><li>RRSP match</li><li>Bonus potential in addition to base pay</li><li>Free on-site parking</li></ul></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
