<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: $50.09/h + $50/month in Phone Allowance + Benefits through Local 280.<br /><p>Evergreen Sheet Metal (2018)has been operating in the BC Lower Mainland HVAC and Sheet Metal Industry for over 15 years. We have recently joined the <em>Local 280 union,</em> and we are currently looking for hardworking individuals to join our team as Red Seal Sheet Metal Installers<em>.<br /></em><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>We offer:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Growth opportunities<br /></li><li>Amazing corporate culture</li><li>Respectful work environment</li><li>Long-term, full-time employment on exciting new residential and commercial projects</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Reporting to the Foreman, the <span >Journeyman/Journeywoman</span>'s job is to fabricate, assemble and install HVAC systems for high-rise residential buildings, commercial and institutional projects.</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities include:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Measure, layout, and fabricate residential HVAC duct systems when necessary<br /></li><li>Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products</li><li>Add or alter condensate drainage</li><li>Remove and replace existing sheet metal supply and return air plenums and other ductwork changes as required<br /></li><li>Maintain the working area clean and tidy</li><li>Work within tight deadlines</li><li>Organize tools and materials as needed</li><li>Listen and follow instructions</li><li>Assemble and install air and heat ducts</li><li>Measure and mark sheet metal according to template</li><li>Inspect products for quality</li><li>Cut materials using power tools or by hand</li><li>Assemble sheet metal parts by fitting and joining them together, and install ductwork and fittings to residential, commercial and industrial spaces</li><li>Be mindful of the building code and follow instructions as required</li><li>Set up and use rigging and hoisting equipment</li><li>Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and similar equipment<br /></li><li>Install fan coils, ductwork, HRVs, line sets from fan coils to condensing units, parkade <span >ductwork/equipment,</span> kitchen range, bath fan, dryer ductwork and air conditioning systems</li><li>Work with heat pumps, ductless heat pumps, central air, air conditioners, air handlers</li><li>Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to worksites</li><li>Provide training to apprentices</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Skills and Requirements</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Have strong interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Be able to multitask and prioritize</li><li>Able to instruct apprentices and labourers</li><li>Lead by example</li><li>Strong work ethic</li><li>Detail-oriented</li><li>Organized</li><li>Pro-active</li><li>Hardworking</li><li>Reliable</li><li>Able to take and follow directions</li><li>Comfortable working at heights</li><li>Comfortable using hand and power tools</li><li>Good English skills (written and spoken)</li><li>Be legally entitled to work in Canada</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Education and Experience</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Completion of Red Seal Certification in Sheet Metal</li><li>Minimum 4 years of Sheet Metal and HVAC experience.</li><li>Previous experience with Sheet Metal installation in residential, commercial, institutional, or healthcare projects.<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Skills & Requirements</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Strong teamwork skills</li><li>Able to work at heights<br /></li><li>Strong work ethic<br /></li><li>Ability to work individually and train apprentices.</li><li>Be Punctual and Reliable</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Work Conditions</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>ESM employees work a standard 40-hour workweek, but work hours, including overtime, may vary based on business requirements from time to time</li><li>Standing for long periods</li><li>Keeping your arms above your head for long periods</li><li>Fast-paced environment</li><li>Repetitive tasks</li><li>Dusty</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Compensation: $50.09/h + $50/month Phone allowance.
