Job Description
<h2><strong>Refrigeration Operator / Class B Engineer</strong></h2><p><strong>Full-Time | Permanent | Non-Unionized</strong><br>
<strong>Compensation:</strong> $41.00/hour<br>
<strong>Location:</strong> Burlington ,ON<br>
<strong>Schedule:</strong> 2/2/3 rotating shift (12-hour days/nights)</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Week 1: 48 hours</p>
<li>
<p>Week 2: 36 hours</p>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Ensure compliance with <strong>TSSA regulations</strong> at all times.</p>
<li>
<p>Perform routine maintenance on boilers, refrigeration systems, HVAC, fuel, water treatment, compressed air systems, auxiliaries, and distribution systems.</p>
<li>
<p>Conduct housekeeping and maintenance throughout the plant.</p>
<li>
<p>Install mechanical systems and assist Industrial Mechanic Millwrights as needed.</p>
<li>
<p>Calibrate, adjust, and maintain:</p>
<ul>
</ul><li>
<p>Heating/cooling systems</p>
<li>
<p>Brine chillers</p>
<li>
<p>Humidification and air handling equipment</p>
<li>
<p>Kemco hot water system</p>
<li>
<p>High-pressure hoses and pumps</p>
<li>
<p>Scald and de-hair tank systems</p>
</ul>
<li>
<p>Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.</p>
<li>
<p>Install and repair piping systems (water, drainage, compressed air, and ammonia).</p>
<li>
<p>Detect leaks, set and adjust controls and regulators, and ensure proper equipment operation.</p>
<li>
<p>Replace and maintain mechanical components and controls as required.</p>
<li>
<p>Monitor and record flow rates, pressures, and temperatures to maintain cold chain integrity.</p>
<li>
<p>Ensure safe use and storage of approved chemicals.</p>
<li>
<p>Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), ensuring maintenance and temporary repairs meet food safety standards.</p>
<li>
<p>Communicate with Sanitation and Production teams upon completion of repairs to enable proper cleaning and sanitization.</p>
<li>
<p>Complete inventory, maintenance, and compliance records in computerized systems.</p>
<li>
<p>Perform other related duties as assigned.</p>
<h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>High School Diploma (or equivalent).</p>
<li>
<p>Valid <strong>3rd Class Operating Engineer License / Refrigeration B Operator License</strong>.</p>
<li>
<p>Minimum <strong>6,000 hours</strong> of related experience.</p>
<li>
<p>Proficient with all mechanical hand tools and power tools.</p>
<li>
<p>Strong troubleshooting and repair skills (mechanical & electrical).</p>
<li>
<p>Ability to read and interpret blueprints.</p>
<li>
<p>Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.</p>
</ul>

<p>$350 annual tool allowance (with receipts)</p>

<p>$200 annual boot allowance (with receipts)</p>
