<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>Coast Canmore Hotel and Conference Centre is seeking a full-time Sales and Catering Manager - Weddings</p><p><br /></p><p>Objective:</p><p></p><p>Assist Sales & Catering department in servicing business to work towards meeting and exceeding financial and service goals by a focused and targeted effort to assigned group markets.</p><p><em></em></p><p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p><p><em></em></p><ul><li> Sells and services group business for the hotel with a primary focus on weddings, small groups under 12, </li></ul><p>Table Private Dinning and Catering only enquiries.</p><ul><li> Participating in achieving financial targets for sales in catering segments.</li><li> Prepare wedding proposals, contracts, cost estimates and invoices.</li><li> Conducts hotel site tours.</li><li> Attends and participates in the weekly BEO & Resume meetings.</li><li> Creating BEOs, Floor Plans and Group Resumes for incoming groups.</li><li> Generates reports for the team as assigned by the Senior Conference Services Manager</li><li> Effectively and efficiently servicing corporate groups with their catering requirements as assigned, including coordinating rooming lists, cut off dates, catering requirements, set-ups, audio visual needs, etc.</li><li> Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.</li><li> Support and relief for other members of the sales and catering team.</li><li> Organize and participate in sales calls, sales trips, and tradeshows appropriate for the assigned markets.</li><li> Network with wedding planner and vendors to generate leads.</li><li> Create flat sheets and flyers with wedding promotions. </li></ul><p></p><p>Education & Skills:</p><p></p><ul><li> Must be familiar with weddings and corporate groups.</li><li> Previous Sales & Servicing experience in a hospitality setting.</li><li> Able to work on Saturdays on a rotation schedule. </li><li> Possession of a valid Alberta Drivers License and owning a vehicle to drive to Banff, Calgary, Edmonton and other regional areas is an asset.</li><li> Able to work independently, self-motivated. </li><li> Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the hotel sales processes, and catering processes from start to finish.
