<p><h3>Overview</h3>
<p>Brandt Developments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced <b>Senior Civil Engineer, in its Regina, SK, location</b> to lead and independently manage civil engineering design for commercial and industrial developments projects for the Brandt Group of Companies across Canada and abroad.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with specialized expertise in paving structures, stormwater management systems and calculations, site grading design, and all aspects of civil infrastructure specific to commercial and industrial sites including septic management systems in rural settings.</p>
<p>This role requires strong technical knowledge, regulatory expertise, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while coordinating effectively with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead and execute the design of civil engineering components for commercial and industrial building sites, including:</li>
<ul>
<li>Paving structures (parking lots, roadways, loading areas)</li>
<li>Stormwater management systems and drainage calculations</li>
<li>Site grading and earthworks balancing</li>
<li>Utility coordination (water, sewer, power, communications)</li>
</ul>
<li>Prepare comprehensive civil design packages including drawings, specifications, reports, and technical memorandums.</li>
<li>Perform advanced stormwater modeling, hydrological analysis, and erosion control planning in compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal regulations.</li>
<li>Independently navigate permitting processes with various Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), including municipalities, conservation authorities, and provincial/federal regulators.</li>
<li>Review and interpret regulatory codes, design standards, and industry best practices to ensure compliance in all project deliverables.</li>
<li>Prepare and review construction cost estimates, tender documents, and bid evaluations for civil scopes of work.</li>
<li>Conduct site visits for due diligence, design verification, and construction observation.</li>
<li>Collaborate with architects, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, and clients to integrate civil design seamlessly with overall project requirements.</li>
<li>Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and quality control reviews for designers.</li>
<li>Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables for assigned projects.</li>
<li>Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and public officials.</li>
