<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Manager Retail Accounting on a full-time basis within our Finance team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.</p><p>Are you a strategic leader with a passion for financial excellence and operational impact? This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of retail accounting across a diverse network of co-operatives.</p><h3>What you’ll do</h3><ul><li>Lead a large team in delivering accurate and timely full-cycle accounting services to a network of Local Co-ops across Western Canada.</li><li>Provide guidance and oversight on financial reporting, accounting standards, and compliance requirements while maintaining effective relationships with external auditors.</li><li>Develop and manage departmental business plans and budgets, including evaluating and setting chargeback models for services provided to Local Co-ops.</li><li>Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities for service improvements, optimize accounting workflows, and support ongoing operational enhancements.</li><li>Oversee the preparation of consolidated statistical information of the Local Co-ops to help analyze their overall financial performance and health.</li><li>Lead our support services team to ensure accurate and timely processing of equity statements, cheques, and EFTs on behalf of the Local Co-ops.</li></ul><h3>Who you’ll work with</h3><p>Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Local Co-op Financial Services and Systems, you’ll lead the Retail Accounting team, working with Local Co-ops, senior leaders, and internal departments to deliver consistent high-quality accounting services. You’ll directly supervise 2 Accounting Managers and 1 Retail Accounting Support Supervisor and oversee 4 Accounting Supervisors and approximately 40 unionized and non-unionized staff. You’ll also oversee reporting standards, service rates, resourcing, and departmental planning while driving efficiency and maintaining strong stakeholder support and service levels.</p><h3>Why it matters</h3><p>We help local Co-ops grow and thrive by offering a range of professional services including marketing, market research, information technology, human resources, accounting, risk management, and business development.</p><h3>Who are you</h3><p><b>You are looking for a career in Finance and:</b></p><ul><li>Have a Bachelor of Commerce / Business majoring in accounting or finance.</li><li>Have a professional accounting designation required (CPA).
