Job Description
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead end-to-end management of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, and bridge developments.</li><li>Define and control project scopes, timelines, budgets, risk profiles, and resource planning.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and government agencies.</li><li>Supervise the preparation and evaluation of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and cost assessments.</li><li>Manage procurement activities, including drafting RFPs, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.</li><li>Monitor construction activities through site inspections, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Identify risks and implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum and cost efficiency.</li><li>Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members, including junior engineers and coordinators.</li><li>Compile and deliver regular project updates, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.</li><li>Uphold environmental, safety, and quality standards throughout all stages of project execution.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree considered an asset).</li><li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or PE) designation strongly preferred; flexibility may be considered based on experience.</li><li>Over 10 years of progressive project management experience in infrastructure, with a minimum of 5 years focused on road and bridge projects.</li><li>Demonstrated success in managing large-scale transportation projects with multi-million-dollar budgets.</li><li>In-depth understanding of construction practices, materials, and engineering codes.</li><li>Strong knowledge of local, regional, and national transportation regulations and standards.</li><li>Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6, and design software like AutoCAD or Civil 3D.</li><li>PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.</li><li>Experience with Design-Build project delivery methods.</li></ul><p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
