Warehouse Operations Manager
Our client is a national business in the warehousing and distribution space.
The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees daily warehouse operations in a unionized facility, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant handling of materials, inventory, and personnel. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to maintain productive relationships within a unionized workforce while meeting operational goals. Lower Mainland, BC.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping to meet performance targets and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all labor agreements, company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with union representatives and HR to address employee relations issues, grievances, and contract interpretation in a fair and consistent manner.
- Optimize operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and effective use of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Develop and mentor warehouse supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety awareness.

- Post Secondary in operations or equivalent years of experience.
- 5-10+ years of warehouse leadership experience, preferably in a unionized or labor-represented environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management systems, and labor relations practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance operational needs and employee relations.
