On behalf of our valued construction client located in Balzac, Alberta, we are currently hiring Ticketed Forklift Operators to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused and experienced operator to work in a busy, fast-paced outdoor environment. Experience handling lumber and building materials is a strong asset. Full-time house and a variety of three different shift schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport materials around the yard
- Handle lumber and construction materials with care and precision
- Organize yard inventory and maintain a clean, safe work area
- Assist with manual loading/unloading and general yard tasks as required
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with yard supervisors and team members
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator ticket (required) - Must have been completed in person. Online tickets are not accepted
- 1–2 years of forklift experience in a yard or construction environment (an asset)
- Experience with lumber or building materials (preferred)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labour
- Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented
- Must have reliable transportation
