Location: Calgary, AB
Length: 12-month contract to start
Rotation: Monday to Friday
Description:
NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced ES Cybersecurity Architect to support a major SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This role will design and implement secure enterprise and cloud architectures, ensuring cybersecurity is embedded throughout the program lifecycle. The position focuses on risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and alignment with frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security architectures for SAP S/4HANA, BTP, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
- Embed "secure-by-design" principles in all SAP integrations, extensions, and data migrations.
- Define encryption, key management, and data protection policies for S/4HANA systems.
- Integrate SAP applications with enterprise SSO and identity platforms such as Okta or Azure AD.
- Oversee data migration and governance using tools such as Syniti Data Migration, SAP Migration Cockpit, and SAP Data Services.
- Establish centralized logging, monitoring, and incident response processes integrated with enterprise SIEM tools.
- Implement Privileged Access Management (PAM) controls and support security reviews and audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5+ years in IT security with at least 3 years in a security architecture role.
- Strong experience designing secure enterprise or cloud solutions (Azure/AWS).
- Expertise in SAP security (S/4HANA, BTP, Fiori, GRC).
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SOX, FERC, TSA) and security standards (NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, or AWS Security Specialty.

- Led data migration and governance for large-scale S/4HANA implementations using Syniti, SAP Migration Cockpit, and SAP Data Services.
- Managed data migration from multiple legacy systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Integrated third-party systems such as Syniti Data Migration and Vertex Tax Engine.
- Delivered secure, multi-site S/4HANA greenfield deployments across North America.
