Responsibilities
Tasks
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
Estimate costs and materials
Assembling wood frames for furniture components.
Positioning precutting frame parts, like sides, ends, and braces in fixture, and glue, staple, and screw them together to fabricate furniture frame, using hand tools, hand stapler, and glue applicator.
Webbing and attaching spring hinges to the frames and stapling cardboard on different parts of the frames.
Operating a variety of hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, hammers, nail guns, and levels, to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
Inspecting the work for accuracy, alignment, and quality. Making necessary adjustments to ensure the framing components meet the required standards.
