The Minor Injury & Illness Clinic is a clinic that provides walk-in and appointment-based health care for children and adults suffering from non-life-threatening illness or injury.<br><br>Services may include treatment for minor fractures, sprains and/or splinting, treatment for minor abrasions, cuts and burns, blood tests, urine tests, throat swabs, EKGs and specialist referrals. The clinic will also connect clients to health care providers and services, internal and external to PMH programs (e.g. Social Work, Chronic Disease Education Program, Mental Health, Addictions Services and Therapy Services, etc.).<br><br><strong>Overview<br><br></strong><strong>Language: </strong>English<br><br><strong>Education: </strong>Degree in Medicine<br><br><strong>Experience: </strong>Experience an Asset<br><br><strong>On site: </strong>Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.<br><br><strong>Work setting: </strong>Rural area<br><br><strong>Credentials<br><br></strong><ul><li>The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree</li><li>Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba</li><li>Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance</li><li>Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population</li><li>Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job</li><li>Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums</li><li>Good work and attendance record<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Information<br><br></strong><strong>Security and safety:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.</li><li>All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy.<br><br></li></ul><em>The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
