<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>TRO Rotional Operations Attendant (Wekwet)<br><br></p><p><em>Limited competition for Northwest Territories residents only.</em></p><p></p><p>Tch Retail Operations (TRO) is 100% Indigenous owned by the Tch Investment Corporation (TIC) and has 100% ownership of three retail stores and motels; also operating a petroleum, oil, lubricant (POL) division (community fuel delivery/gas station) in each of the Tch communities of What, Gamt, and Wekwet,NT.</p><p></p><p>We are currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Rotational Operations Attendant position located in the beautiful community of Wekwet, NT. This position is a three-weeks in/three-weeks out rotational position working approximately 8-hour days. Flights are provided between Yellowknife and Wekwet, and <span >accommodation/meals</span> are provided while on-rotation in Wekwet.</p><p></p><p>Reporting to the Community Operations Manager, the Operations Attendant is responsible for providing services at the Wekwet Store and Motel and willing to learn the ins/out of the retail operations.</p><p></p><p><span >Duties/Responsibilities</span></p><p></p><p>Store</p><ul><li>Learn the ins/outs of the store (office, cash register, freight, etc.)</li><li>Price merchandise, stock shelves, and rotate stock</li><li>Pull stock approaching best before date to put on sale</li><li>Use the Point-of-Sale system to process customer purchases/returns and receive payments by cash, credit or debit</li><li>Count and record daily cash outs</li><li>Assist in training new employees</li><li>Pick up/transport freight from airport when required</li><li>Act as Supervisor in the absence of the Community Operations Manager (vacation, illness, etc.)</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul><p></p><p>Motel</p><ul><li>General administrative duties including taking motel reservations, invoicing, and processing payments</li><li>Assist in training new employees</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized kitchen</li><li>Clean guest rooms and washrooms thoroughly</li><li>Do laundry including bedding and towels</li><li>Ensure rooms are properly stocked and ready for incoming guests</li><li>Clean and maintain general areas such as the kitchen, dining area, hallways, and entrances</li><li>Act as Supervisor in the absence of the Community Operations Manager (vacation, illness, etc.)</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul><p></p><p>Skills/Abilities:</p><ul><li>Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Good computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).</li><li>Excellent organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to follow direction and take initiative.</li><li>Must be <span >reliable/dependable/trustworthy</span></li><li>Can learn quickly</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively in a team as well as independently with limited supervision.</li><li>Flexible/adaptable; willingness to embrace change.</li><li>Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Ability to speak and understand the Tlicho language is a strong asset.</li><li>Class 5 drivers license required; Class 3/airbrakes considered a strong asset.</li><li>Willingness to obtain AVOP certification</li></ul><p></p><p><em>Tch Retail Operations offers a competitive compensation package including benefits and pension for full-time positions.</em></p><br />remote work</p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
